Introduction to Excel VBA Procedures and Sub Procedures

The main purpose of is to introduce the basic syntax/structure of VBA procedures and Sub procedures.

• Is part of my Book Series; and
  
• Assumes you know about the topics covered in my previous Book Series, particularly the Book Series.
  

has two main goals:

• Introduce: (i) What procedures and Sub procedures are; and (ii) Why procedures and Sub procedures are essential VBA constructs.
• Help you learn the basics of creating, and working with, procedures and Sub procedures. To achieve this, introduces and explains (among others): (i) How to work with, and identify, procedures in the Visual Basic Editor (VBE); (ii) The basic elements and syntax/structure of a Sub procedure; and (iii) The mandatory rules and main good practices to follow when naming procedures.

does not cover every single detail of creating, or working with, procedures and Sub procedures. It is an introduction to the basic concepts, constructs, and structures that (in my opinion) are helpful to an Excel VBA beginner.

is divided into three Chapters.

• Chapter 1 is an introduction to procedures and Sub procedures.
• In Chapter 2, you learn how to create basic Sub procedures.
• In Chapter 3, you learn the mandatory rules and main good practices to follow when naming procedures.
